As an SEO company, we often find that there are many misunderstandings about website findability. During introductory meetings, we regularly explain to clients how search engine optimization (SEO) works and set expectations.

1. Becoming findable with the right keywords
SEO is all about findability in search engines such as Google. Many business owners wonder how quickly their website can get on page 1. This depends heavily on the competition for the search terms. Keywords with little competition often offer a greater chance of ranking. By properly specifying your services or products and creating separate landing pages for them, you can become more findable on different terms.
Each page must be specifically optimized, with a unique title, meta description, and relevant alt texts for images. Technical factors such as speed also play an important role. In addition to these “quick fixes,” there are more than 200 SEO factors that contribute to your ranking. SEO is an ongoing process, so be prepared to work on this consistently.
2. Provide multiple landing pages

4. Focus on long-tail keywords
Long-tail keywords are longer and more specific search terms with less competition. These terms often yield visitors who are more inclined to take action, such as “what does it cost to have a website made?” By creating valuable content that aligns with these specific keywords, you increase your chances of high rankings and higher conversions.
Long-tail keywords are ideal for businesses just starting out with their SEO strategy because they provide opportunities without direct competition. The more valuable your content is found by users, the better Google values your website, which benefits your overall findability.
